Hey guys,
I mocked up my Lakewood bellhousing to check for runout and here's what I got.
The top is +.012 and the very bottom (hard to see) is -.002
I removed and remounted the dial caliper and checked it a second time and got almost exactly the same thing.

From this I should be getting a set of .007 offset pins correct?

Sounds like it! This is the bore reading, correct? And you used a dial indicator, not a caliper?
Now, what does the face read??? You need to indicate both. If you get both within 0.003,
you're good!

yep, used a dial indicator marked in .001 increments on a magnetic base attached to the back of the crank.

Gotta say, those are nice!
In the old days guys would move the bell housing around and re-dowel to the next size!
