Bench seat too close to wheel

What car is this?

On 71-74, the sliders that hold the cylindrical bearings are longer on one side than the other.
If they've been apart, it's possible they were put back on incorrectly.
If so, you will lose about 1.75 inches of front to back space.
That was just enough for me to go from perfectly comfortable with the seat all the way back, to not quite enough room.

Do you have pics of this one please??

I have that problem also......mostly I just need to lose some weight.

Next fix will be to install a smaller diameter steering wheel.
Same here. My problem is i am too short to reach the pedals so I can’t put the seat back. Once I squeeze my fat stomach under the steering wheel I’m good.

Maybe a smaller steering wheel?
Worked for me.

Im a rather large and roundly-shaped individual (read: 6'-depending on the 7-11 + a gut) and moving the bench back in the Newport helped greatly.

I could stand to lose 25 pounds myself. Gonna see when the weather breaks if I can get my *** in and out of the Corvette! I'm already thinking that a tilt wheel steering column is going to be on my to do list!

I have to start saying no when my friend asks me if I want another beer. I failed miserably last night after being asked six times.

Here a go Roger. Cheech & Chong approved and on a plus side, you can still drive with handcuffs on...
