Looking a different ways to mount a 5 point Harness to the cross bar of my 66. Need to get whatever mount i'm using welded up this weekend to finish painting bar before car is painted.
Pics of different ideas would be great.

What I'm working with:

You have several options. It was easiest for me to just wrap them around the bar. I like the RCI Platinum series belt. They are somewhat soft so the don't tend to hacksaw at your neck and they can be re-certified for $20.

How do you stop them from sliding around on the tube? Does it wear the roll bar paint?

My chassis shop welded tabs to the back side of the rollbar. Their rationale is that a low back style seat has nothing there to keep the belts in place. If you have a high back seat with the slots cut in it for the shoulder harness, then they do the loop around the bar.

I have a Kirky seat with the slots like Dodge 330 mentioned so they don't slide. I had mine re-certified last year. I don't recall any marks on the back bar when I changed them. The RCI Platinums are soft and they don't move much with my setup.

I machined a pair of aluminum collars, cut them in half, drilled and threaded holes for allen head screws. Per Shorthorse, they don't move much anyway but the collars keep the straps close too the seat back mount.

I managed to get most of my interior back in after painting the new roll bar.
