Looking to purchase a set of 68 side marker lights for my Super Bee.
I have read that Trimparts has good reproduction lights, but from the pics they look the same as other vendors that sell them for a fraction of the cost.
Does anyone know if there are multiple mfg’s of the side markers for the 68 Mopars, or does everyone get them from the same mfg.
Thanks,
Craig

Are the chrome trim rings metal or plastic on the repop? I heard somewhere someone was selling those and they were plastic trim rings.

There is at least three different manufacturers of the bezels and lenses. Most vendors will either offer the Trim Parts piece or the PG Classic piece. The Trim Parts pieces were being cast in the US and then plated in Mexico. Not exactly sure of the manufacturing process now as the Trim Parts parent corporation has been going through a restructuring effort over the past two years. All of the Trim Parts trim pieces are nice and fit well. They have all of the details of the originals. I have seen some of them that do not have the black highlight paint treatment and like for the Chargers and Darts, the contour is not as crisp. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Both PG Classics and Trim Parts side marker lights are manufactured as per application. The 68 Plymouth A & B-Bodies are flat as well as the Coronets / Super Bees. The Darts and Chargers have a convex curve to them. They are not a generic fit or application. Also used on the C-Bodies as well.
