Well,If you had money should have least put down payment OOOOOOOOh you had n down payment !!!!!!

I told you when i contacted you i didnt have the cash right then($100 short by the way). I offered some trades or to send a check the first week of May. You didnt want any trades...no problem. I contacted you as soon as my contract payment hit the account on May 2nd. All of a sudden you reneged because your brother told you they were worth gold. I stayed true to my word and was ready to send the payment. I told you i will leave poor feedback if you didnt hold up your end of the deal. You just said do what you gotta do. I did what i said i would do. A deal is a deal.
I have a question, you wanted to buy these parts but didn't have enough money. You made a deal with this seller for him to hold the parts for a specific amount of time? Did you offer a deposit? Did he agree to hold the parts without a deposit ?
Honestly and im not defending the seller or knocking you but unless I know the person personally and am doing business face to face even then I dont but anything unless I have the money in my hand.
I mean think about it, you had to know you were getting a deal and you made the guy wait, you should have jumped on it then and there.
I only say this becuse I did the exact same thing with a Hemi four speed and a bunch of parts. I didn't jump on it then and there, guy told me there mine when I am ready. When I was he thought they were worth more and I lost out.
People dont do deals on a handshake anymore. Somebody gives you their word, it doesn't mean squat.
You should have bought them then and if you didn't have the money, well thats the way life goes, you cant trust anyone.
The seller should have told you no money no deal or if he made a commitment he should have stood by that.
My thoughts and thats why I only buy from sellers I know and pay in full via PayPal business to business only, within minutes of doing a deal

And you had a guy give you 3 months to pay for something. I said i would mail you a check the first week of May. No where did i say you had to hold the parts for me. I asked for an address and you replied to let you know when i had the money. I told you the first week of May. I contacted you May 2nd and asked for an address to send the check. It was then, after all that, you back out.
I wont do business with anyone like that. If someone has stuck you on a deal i am sorry for your loss. I would share that info so others dont get burned.
I sold a hood to a guy over a year ago. He is still making payments on it. He checks in regularly with me. The hood is still here and safe until he pays it off and picks it up. That is the agreement we made and we are both sticking to it. When i give my word i keep it.

When it’s my money, it’s always about me! I can’t stand the 3% cheapskates either. If you want the convenience, pay the fee.
When it is my money it is always about me as well.......

Well, around here a handshake and a mans word still mean something.

Just curious......

If I'm understanding correctly you agreed to buy and then to send a check later....later came, funds available and then you want the part for free shipping?

well I have no idea were "around here" is, nor do I care but the fact remains you wanted a part did not have funds and if im wrong did not offer a deposit. All of this with a complete stranger on a computer. Yes its a tough break but bad mouthing the guy on a forum is something I personally wouldn't do. The seller on the other hand should realize this forum is a tight community were reputation means something and either should have stuck to his agreement( if he and you did have one) or told you he couldn't hold them.
Bad arrangement all the way around

thats odd,i see 2 completely different sides here...im not sure why theres even any debate.
pp1rt strikes me as an honest guy straightup.
if you read his posts hes calm and logical and explains it well.
then
i see these others posts where 442 has tried to backdoor deals from others and thats a Big red flag to me.
plus the way 442 replies to all this,is revealing too.
so im confused cause it looks pretty clearcut.
guess it must just be my glasses.....jmo.

closing thought..i highly doubt many would sell someone a hood they needed on payments over a year.

I threw out that offer. If he took it fine. If not ...fine. I would have gladly paid the shipping. If it saves a trip to the post office to find out exact shipping that is worth a little something is my thinking. I have done it for others. I am pretty easy to get along with. I swapped an A pillar trim piece with a member here working on a 69 GTX. Our schedules are different but he was passing by a place where my car was gonna be parked. He had some tools used in his build that he probably wouldn't ever use again. I told him to stop by my unlocked car, check out the condition of the part and leave whatever he thought was a fair trade and take the part home. He must have been happy with the part because there were some tools laying in my car when i got back. Easy deal. Everyone was happy. Never met the guy but hope to soon when he gets the blue X on the road.

A deposit on a $500 part when can pay full in a week? I wouldn't expect someone else to do that if i was selling. If it was an issue he could have said something right away. That is not the issue and please dont try to make it something it isn't.
Around here is the midwest. Farm country. Iowa. Your world and mine are completely different evidently.

I was in The Military, Sergeant in the Marines I , bet you bad mouth!!!!!!!! our President, I straightened a lot of people ,like YOU
