This guy is a scammer. He has been trying to buy the Magnum 500 rims I have for sale for a week and tells me he sent money thru PayPal and then his bank is transferring it. Typical BS.

After he said he sent money he tells me PayPal says I'm unregistered lol

I don’t believe @xman is a scammer, if he had to create a PayPal account it takes a while to get everything up and rolling before he can transfer money from his bank to his PayPal and then to you. It’s possible he sent it to the wrong email etc... he contributes on this site a lot, always asking questions about his fathers car. Before you come here blasting a well known member, you should make sure you have all your ducks in a row.

Kinda odd he has been a member here for a long time.....So I am doubtful he is a "scammer"

I am lost did he actually scam you "out" of something or just the deal never came to fruition....

Maybe he just doesn't know how to use payapl? Or maybe he typed your email address wrong?

I have had that happened to me and with proper communication we worked things out....

Guess I'm not following how this makes him a scammer? A scammer sends a fake/counterfeit money order. I mean, heck depending on how he's trying to send the money, I could see it taking a week or more. on my personal account, if I try to upload money from my bank account using the routing number and account number, it literally takes 5-7 business days for it to clear my bank and show in my paypal account. This is because my bank considers it a digital check. and are you unregistered? if your account isnt verified, paypal will put a 2-3 day hold on funds as well. I've personally ran into both of these issues. If I were you, I'd ask him to screenshot his receipt showing he sent it.

My thoughts exactly. Not taking sides but sometimes Paypal does play games unless you're using a credit card. And heck, I've had them place 7-10 days holds on funds coming from new, unverified accounts.....

Explain how he tells me sent money and then I have to wait and THEN he says I'm unregistered with PayPal. I guess Rockauto did not mind when I ordered parts and payed with PayPal last week

Because Rockauto is a business account? You seem to be upset that it wasn't instant...... Patience. Like I said, if either one of your accounts isn't verified, paypal places holds. Nothing he did, nothing you did, it's just paypal policy. Doesnt make him a scammer. Have you a verified paypal account?

Like said above, if his account is new PayPal will hold the money for up to 10 days, or he could’ve typed in the wrong email, username etc on PayPal. Judging by your posts here there’s a good chance there was a miscommunication.

Since @xman passed away recently, how can he be a scammer. This is likely his children continuing the work on the car, and may be unfamiliar with how things work on the site. Calling someone out as a scammer is a last resort....get some facts and communication sorted first.

If you guys enjoy the runaround from a storyteller.
Says the guy who has been here barely 2 months.

Get the story straight between you and the other party before blasting someone on here.

He told me last week he had PayPal and that he sent money. It never showed in my account I told him that and then he says it may take awhile. Last contact I had was Friday then he contact's me this morning saying that his bank sent money. Nothing in my PayPal, then he says it will take two more days. After that I don't want to deal with the guy.IF his money shows in my account he will get it back. I sure don't want to deal with shipping anything to this guy.

That’s standard practice for PayPal... I think you owe him an apology. Obviously You don’t have to do the deal with him if you don’t want, but to come out and label him a scammer is wrong.

Yes XMAN was my dad. Hell he still is. This is his son. I have always did my dads computer work AKA buy parts, sell parts on here. We love this site, good guys, helpful, sell good parts etc. My dad has owned a lot of GTXs & that's why I used the name XMAN on here. I know how things work when it comes to buying & selling on here & A bodies only. This just rubbed me the wrong way. UNREGISTERD was paypals words not mine. As for clown, retard name calling he should feel lucky he isn't dealing with my dad.

Apparently you have no patience...

Gonna have to side with XMAN on this one. He hasnt scammed anyone. He is trying to send payment. Things are stuck somewhere between the 2 of you. A little patience goes a long ways. If your money shows up why not ship the parts??

Jumping to conclusions just gives yourself a bad reputation. Hope it all works out for both parties.
