Been hunting all over the internet for pics of different valve covers in-action (on a big block, in an engine bay!) and some have been surprisingly difficult to find. Then I remembered that there is a forum full of folks with wild and wonderful engine setups out there!

Here are a few that come to mind specifically, but I would love to see ANY other cool/unique ones. Share your pics!
- Direct Connection blue anodized
- Moroso gold
- Mickey Thompson
- Weiand

I had moroso chrome installed prior to these. The moroso chrome didn't fit the heads correctly. Not the biggest fan of these but they don't leak.

These were factory stock on GTXs in 1967, but painted covers became standard in '68. I liked the look of the chrome better, and so did a previous owner of my current GTX. Not correct on my car, but I'm keeping them in place.

I like these, did you paint them yourself? If you did, what's your recommendation for getting the fins silver? I found a set for a decent price near me that would need to be reworked. I had thought about doing black wrinkle paint with the silver fins like this.
Thank you, yes I did these. I used a wrinkle paint ( I will have to look at the brand when I get home). On the fins, I just sanded the paint off with some sand paper.

I must be getting old because I prefer a non flashy engine compartment. I like the stock look. A little bit of upgraded stuff is cool and necessary, but when you do modifications under the hood I prefer them to be discreet. For example if I do braided lines I use black braid and black AN fittings. Air cleaner lids are black and not chrome.

Don't forget the 1967-specific chrome steel valve covers on the 440 Magnums from Ma herself.
I have a set of those on Fred that I specifically went hunting for.

(The steel is a heavier gauge than the ones later issued by DC/MP....)
I got VERY lucky on price on these originals - seems these went nuts on prices right after I got them.

That's what the Demonstrator is currently wearing, and they aren't going anywhere. The car had two deviations from stock when the dealer owned it, the chrome rim magnums and the valve covers.

LOVE this look, wish I could find a set but in the last two years I haven't seen any come up for sale.
Got mine here or FABO, they were not pretty.
Remnants of wrinkle paint on them, however only the area in-between the fins are cast with the wrinkle.

I saw an nos set on marketplace a few years ago for ridiculous $, in the box.

Cal Custom valve covers on the 440 in my 70 Challenger T/A. They were plain, but I painted them with VHT wrinkle finish paint.

Direct Connection chrome replacing the original chrome on my 67 GTX 440.

More Direct Connection chrome in my 71 GTX.

Moroso chrome on the 440 in my 74 D200. I'm not a fan of the Moroso name on them, but the tall Direct Connection valve covers hit the heater box. The Moroso covers are a nice heavy gauge metal.
