Bill Walton won't be dribbling

R.I.P.

A friend saw him speak at a convention and later met him afterwards. Said he was a nice guy and his speech was very inspirational.

NBA playoffs were watchable when some of the all time greats, such as Bill Walton were part of the announcer team..........

now it seems there is always a woman doing that job, and it sucks :soapbox:

Doris Burke? :wtf:

RIP Bill
A good NBA or great college NCAA guy about the last great era
I even cared for
before they both especially NBA (Nothing But A--holes) went woke
it's unwatchable to me today

I saw him play in a game in the mid '70s. I think he was with Portland then. R.I.P.

I remember rooting for UCLA as a young boy.
I watched him in the pros as well.
He was a pretty good commentator kind of quirky but he knew the game.

RIP Bill.
I remember this one in 1973, I was 16 years old:
My sister got married and the reception was at our house.
All of a sudden, the girls all looked around and the guys were missing..
They were in the living room watching TV and UCLA winning another National Championship, the 7th in a row.
Big Bill did it again for the second time in a row for him.

Early reports didn’t say much more than cancer. Then I saw two different ones 1st said prostate. 2nd said colon. I’d bet on colon. Either way - Good guy, great athlete.
