while playing with the fusebox on my 67 coronet wagon i noticed a black loose wire hanging in that area.
it seems to be going into the headlight switch.
it has no terminal or plug on the end and it seems to only be long enough to go to the fusebox.
it possibly broke off in the box while i was moving it.
any idea what it might be?

If it is black with no tracer it might connect to a 6 blade connector and then through to the tail lights.

its connected at the switch side.all tail lights seem to work

According to my 67 coronet wiring diagram there is a tan wire and a pink wire that go between the fuse box and the light switch. The black wire connects to the tail lights.

this is not mine but i think this is the wire im talking about.
seems to be a ground.
where does the other end go?
i was guessing it went to the light switch but it is in that area.
