Haven't heard anything about him for a good while.....I know he wasn't in good shape many moons ago.....

I was just thinking of him a few days ago, it was Jimmy? I'm thinking. Hell of a nice guy

I remember last I heard his finances went to **** with his health and thought he lost his internet. :(

He was doing one of his polished propeller blades for me years ago and he showed me pictures of the progress, but then he stopped and that was it.

I guess the money he wanted for it just didn't mean much to him.

I know a few members here knew him personally, I remember seeing a comment in a thread about his health and finances, maybe they can enlighten us.

Got to know him at Spring Fling. Got stories. Interesting. Soft Landing, wheels up. Can’t remember the aircraft he told me.

I remember him telling me that the blades were done, but he didn't know how to wrap them. He was afraid that plastic would mottle the surface.

Riding around Los Angeles with him in the R/T. Stopped for fuel and he got out for a smoke. Got into some sort of minor (not quite a scuffle) with a guy who did not hold the door or was rude or some such entering the store. The 38 was locked in the trunk. We got out of there. Guy was bigger and younger than either of us. The Blade. A good guy. Intense. There is more. I’ll tell you when I see you. I hope he is well, but if I was in Vegas…

This was back in the good old days. AirTel hadn’t taken a **** yet, we were still visiting Picture Car Warehouse, the Band was still intact, Hooters on Hollywood Blvd, Canadiens pissing out cases of beer in the parking garage. There were a couple of Aussies with us on that trip too.

As far as him being well, he's stable. His cancer hasn't really gotten better or worse for the past couple of years. But he's lost his drive; no more working with metal or sanding car paint, or playing his guitar. Just living day to day and taking care of his ailing dog.

I called him for new years, he said to pass on a 'hello' to everyone on fbbo.
