Many, many years ago, I used to race my '65. Always looked for ways to stiffen up the body/chassis without using a roll bar/cage. I did the frame connectors welded to the front and rear as well as the floor. Moved the springs in and boxed everything. Never installed front and rear torque boxes though. Now that I have a convertible (no racing), I see how easy it would be to fab up torque boxes, AND, convertibles also have extra bracing between the quarters and the rear outer fenderwell.
Just though it may help fellow Early B body owners.

Just wait until you hit 75...every parts of your body stiffens up except for one...
