bolt up ac

I know that some dealers put dash bolt up a/c units in cars, are any of those still on the market? how hard are they to locate/ bolt up? About how much $ do I need to save up to acquire one? i have a 1966 plymouth belevedere, and I am moving from so cal (no ac necessary) to TN with 4 small children (newborn-5yrs) it is my daily driver. Moving in Aug with a preemie

Not sure, but it may be cheaper to get a vintage air system, check them out.

I have one from a 66 Belvedere but it needs to be restored....don't even know if the blowers work but it looks complete and nothing on it is broken. Don't know how hard they are to locate but bolting them up to the dash is easy enough....

Does SoCal get below zero? TN sure does.

Classic Auto Air is thousands. Don't know about Vintage Air.

Don't forget a compressor, all the brackets and lines and the 134 conversion stuff.

Vintage air is probably the best...It works very well and still retains the stock look...By the time you find ,ship, then restore an older set up you will have the same amount of dough in the old and new...You will need a/c in TN...Thats my home state...It gets cold there but rarely below freezing...

We lived in TN for 2 years, it snowed 1x, but it got very hot! In SoCal I have never used an a/c even if my car had it, I never needed to I was in San Diego. My hearter works excellently! So that is not an issue, I am just concerned about moving to TN in the summer with a new born.

So this vintage air is that name of the ac unit or the name of the manufacturer? I am jsut trying to know how to research it. Is it aftermarket?
