I went last weekend to look at a 70 roadrunner that was for sale. After we worked out the deal for the roadrunner the guy than mentions he needs a trunk lid for a 67 plymouth GTX. I asked where was the GTX was and he takes me to another part of his yard and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Make a long story short I bought the GTX as well. It's complete but will need floor pans. I will post pics of the roadrunner later. It's hard to believe these cars are still laying around.

So does that mean there will be 2 projects we look forward to?

Replacement Quarters are hard to find.... Good luck...

There are no replacement quarters for a 66-67 b-bodies that I have found. I have a couple of 4 doors was decent lower quarters.

I don't know if I can stand another project. I working on another 66 right now just couldn't stand seeing these two cars just setting out. The roadrunner is all matching # but the GTX has had a engine replacement. The guy that had them was a chevy guy and really didn't want either one.

Wow great finds...right place right time...........

I found them on craigslist. I figure the only reason I got them last weekend is because a lot of mopar guys went to the mopar nationals.

oh boy someones been busy, now someone is going to be busier , or you getting a early start on becoming a horder ha ha ha just kidding nice score :headbang:

While there are no 'full' quarters, Sherman does make lower rear quartes and wheel opening panels.

Looks like that will keep you off the streets for a while. I like the 66 / 67 Plymouths! Hope the project goes well for you.

Why is it always Chevy guys ending up with Mopars? I may own more Fords than Mopars, but I find myself the most attached to (or obsessed with) my Charger.

After getting both cars home I'm thinking about selling the GTX. Since I'm already half way though the 66 belvedere restore I think I will keep the roadrunner and restore it later. The GTX has a 68 hp 383 engine with all the GTX parts still intact with fender tag. Let me know if anyone is interested. I need around $3200.

A month late but great Score, great find &good luck with the build....

It will make someone a great project.. Not a bad price for a GTX build.

I hate to sell but the roadrunner needs quarters and the GTX needs a floor pan. I want to keep one for a future project. I have been really torn on which one to keep. I also have a solid 69 dart hardtop I want to build after I get the my second 66 belvedere done. I also have a 72 gto 455 4 speed car setting in the corner waiting to be restored. I want to keep them all. The bad economy has made a lot of cool projects come available. Too many projects and too little money.

i looked for a long time for a 67 gtx but no luck so i got a 70 belvedere...wish i would have seen this a month ago or so..i would have bought it...were u located? Georgia?
