Bought a 73 charger and trying to get it running with zero knowledge

Don't think a fuel return line on the carb. If there was a return line, it is usually from the fuel filter not the carb.
Okay, I put a new fuel filter on that does not have a return line, should I get one that does? And then what's the top port on the carb, top left of the fuel line

That is the fuel bowl vent, the hose would run to the charcoal canister next to the radiator. It’s a round black canister. If it’s missing it is ok to leave it open for now.

Good to know, and yeah the canister is there, I'll get that hooked up this weekend, would ya know where the two hoses coming off the passenger side firewall are supposed to go

Heater hoses, the one looped from the water pump to the intake is each fitting those go to. They were likely left off if the heater core is leaking. The engine will be fine without those hooked back up for now.

Looks like it was a big block car originally.

Are any hoses disconnected? Maybe they're already routing to the correct places.

The basic starting troubleshooting is important. Does it turn over or do nothing, that's your first step.
I can get it to turn over with the key, but won't stay started

Does this look right?

Awesome, I'll start getting those together this weekend, I believe all I need now to get it to run is to wire the distributor to the "run" wire as well as the "start" wire
To start, I gotta do some more stuff to drive it, shifter cable, breaks, power steering pump, that's what I know as of right now

No point in saying anything, you got already a ton of advice, great to admit u r not sure, every one on this site, loves to help. Congratulations and don't give up, it's all part of learning, we were all there at some point!
