Hey guys the GTX has been losing some brake fluid and I felt under the brake booster and it was wet, so I assume that is the issue. I did most of my mechanic work when I was a kid and we didn't have a lot of power brakes back then. So I need your advice. I looked through the forum about brake boosters but didn't see information on this problem.
Is the booster bad or is there a seal between it and the Master Cylinder that is leaking? If I put brake fluid in it, the brakes work good.
Thanks guys - again...

If your loosening brake fluid at back of MC you need a new Master cylinder.

The junction from the MC to the Booster is dry. So I guess the fluid is running down into the booster from the MC, correct?

You can, or at least you could, still get a rebuild kit. I was amazed when I pulled mine off Amazon for $32 CANCUK dollars...

Unbolt master without disconnecting brake lines and have a look see.

Wayne did you hone bore of master cylinder?

Brake fluid inside an old booster isn't good for the old diaphragm,I would have the booster rebuilt also.

Great advice as always. Thanks to each of you.
I will get busy with that tomorrow after I mow the grass!

Hey guys I am back in "fix the GTX"mode. Anybody got a recommendation for a place to get that Master Cylinder? One of you pointed me to Brewers for the transmission parts and they were super good. I hope one of you can point me to a good source with good quality. I'm not saying that price is no object, but I will pay more for good stuff.
