Brake booster color

Depends on which one you have. The Bendix boosters are painted black and the Midland Ross ones are zinc plated. 70B could have either.

Can you tell by this old scanned picture otherwise it is burried in a box.

Thats a Midland Ross.
Bendix the 2-piece housing twist locks togother. Midland Ross has a band.

Also not sure thats correct for a 70. Thats a M/R single piston. Was it power drum brakes? Disc usually got the Bendix or M/R dual piston.

Looks like the correct Midland Ross PB (kinda hard to tell from the pic), if your car did come factory equipped with power drums. (bendix on the left)

this is a NOS Midland Ross i found some years back. i've seen black ones also.

Thanks for all your input, I found out since I am converting to disc, I will need to bendix model anyway. So the quest begins for a clean core to rebuild.

The Bendix are tough to find and expensive........The ramman "Wayne" sells them. You can find them occasionally on ebay, moparts or places like this.

Best of luck to ya.

While the b-body bendix power brake booster is hard to find this booster also came on 66-69 c-bodies. I found mine on a 69 newyorker. The pedal push rod needs to be shorten otherwise it's the same booster. I sent mine to Prior brakes and for about $105 they rebuilt it and put a shorter rod for the b-body. Works great on my 66 belvedere.
