I have the brake booster assembly from a (A) body on my 67, 7 inch? Can i fit the universal 8 inch power booster PB1083A with out major modification's .

The A body unit used from 1973-1976 used a stand-off bracket that bolted to the firewall using the same pattern as a non power master cylinder. The reduction linkage was on the engine side. The stock B body boosters bolted to the firewall directly and the reduction linkage was on the interior side.
This means that to use the 73-76 booster, you’d need to have a firewall stiffening plate for a non power brake B body.
I don’t know about the size differences of the A body boosters nor anything of the A body boosters used 1972 and before.

If that booster is good, it should work well. Good advice from Greg above. That’s part of why it’s a popular swap. Well, maybe was a popular swap. Hard to find a disc A body nowadays. If your pedal effort is high, maybe a different bore M/C is needed, IF nothing is amiss.

I had an 1 1/8” bore master cylinder in the car once and it was horrible. The pedal was so firm, it felt like it was welded in place. The brakes barely worked.

This booster is similar to the one on my 66 Satellite bolt pattern on back different. I bought it as a core but won't fit my Hemi bracket. Measurements for this booster are on inside circle. The hard to number is 3-3/16".

Real Hemi booster also had 3/8" studs instead of 5 /16" . Booster pictured is likely for 383/440 car with disc brakes, and mounts directly to firewall. Later B-vans used this as well, mounted on a 90 degree bracket under the hood.

67 440’s with power disc’s had the same booster and bracket as the hemi’s also.
