Hi All,

I am installing a news set of brake lines and willwood adjustable proportion valve and I've realised I have the front to rear line that has provision for the factory valve/block piece. So while I've have the willwood adjustable proportion valve in the place of the front factory distribution/proportion valve, the block that is exclusively on the single rear line (about a foot down from the distribution/proportion block) would possible still be in there. Is this going to be a problem?

Is it a proportion or check valve?

If it is going to be a problem leaving it there, is there a way of 'hollowing' it out so I can just use it to link the two halves of the brake line together? Or is there a joining fitting available I could use? I have looked but can't seam to find anything.

Also once that's done and its in, whats the best way of setting up the proportion valve? taking for a drive and hitting the brakes and fine tuning? or is there a more 'scientific' way of doing it?

Cheers!

In this pic it is the brass block on the far left. On the frame rail under the firewall.

going disk all the way around? You can just put a connector in line and get rid of it if you think it is doing something.
If you can see thru it leave it.

I popped it open and its empty with no obstruction to the flow, so I've cleaned it inside and out, replaced the oring on the bolt and closed it back up with some thread lock glue. I'll run it as is and see how I go.

Thanks for the reply!

I should also say its for Willwood disc front, 10" Drum brake rear.

best way to adjust it is to go to a big parking lot or empty road.adjust till rear brakes lock on panic stop from about 15 mph.then turn back a small amount so dont lock any more.normally takes a buddy watching outside the car to do right.

The best final adjustment that I used was with empty parking lot and glare ice, set for best stop. The setting also worked very well on wet or dry roads. It was a daily driver. Never had the need to readjust after that.
