Brake Lines

Okay, I need at least one steel brake line going from the proportioning block to a new master cylinder. I have never successfully bent any steel lines. What sources do ya'll recommend for brake lines?

Do you have the old line to use as template. The steel lines are pretty easy to bend up. Just use some things like 2x4's to make the bends. Or any rounded objects maybe your floor jack handle... They're cheap if you make a mistake.

Take your time. They don't kink as easily as up you think.

you will also need to change your master cylinder.

My 96 Dodge diesel and my moms Chrysler 300 (1999) both have braided stainless steel lines. I think I am going to do some measuring and go that route. Check out Summit or Jegs for the Earls brake lines. They come in many lengths and are about 15 bucks each.

Remember these brake lines need a double flare at the ends, not a single flare. Easy to make with the right tool.

Do I need a new one?
