See if your emergency brake is partially on. You may not have an indicator light on the emergency brake (not certain when that started). Another, more likely possiblity, the valve is stuck in the proportioning valve. Bang on it and see if it loosens up. Could also just be a grounded sense wire coming off the proportioning valve. It is possible that it could rub on the steering column or snag on something else.
yes i have rebuilt the whole system, bled brakes and mc, brakes are low but they hold. still the dash lit is on don't think it is emer brake but will check to be sure
Make sure system is properly bled as per service manual...any air in line will cause pressure differential and light to come on. Sludge in proportioning valve might be preventing valve piston from returning to center if brakes are properly bled. A rebuild kit is available for the proportioning valve. Try a 1 or 2 sharp quick pedal "stomps" after bleeding to center valve. Disconnect the wire to side of proportioning valve. Turn out fitting with cone shaped black plastic insulator... Reach inside with small tool and push valve so it doesn't ground on end of fitting you removed...also check e-brake and wire to proportioning valve as previously suggested..
