My 1970 Plymouth Satellite has 10"X2" drums all around. Now that the 318 is gone and the 440 is in place, I'll likely upgrade the brakes. I've read the original big block cars would have had 11"X3" drums up front, and 11"x2.5" rear. I'm not interested in going discs. I'm curious if the front spindles have to be changed out, and the rear backing plates I assume get replaced. I'm sure some have done this swap. Thanks for the info.

Your rear drums should be adequate, the front is what does most of the work.
Hopefully you will get lucky and find some parts.

Agree. Those 11x3 front drums are scarce these days.

Thanks for the info. I'll get a set of drums and pads ordered. I assume the rest of the brake hardware, springs, etc, should be fine.

I would think the backing plate is different and the springs likely as well since everything is larger.
