First long road trip for my blue survivor 69 Coronet R/T was going to the 2010 Nats, mostly because of the Tribute. All went well till Sunday afternoons return home trip when the timing chains original cam gear gave up. Just wanted to thank those that stopped to help!!! Two guys in the white 64? Dodge wagon (Brian?) your diagnosis was right! Thanks also to the owners of red Challenger SRT, white 65 Chrysler Newport, Neon SRT, blue Eagle Talon, green Jeep. Only Mopar people stopped to lend a hand and I appreciate the effort from each of you very much!!!
Ended up hauling car home (NOT CHEAP!) and am waiting for parts to get it back on the road.

Sorry you broke but Good to hear there are still alotta good peeps out there.I woulda stopped:grin:

Mopar people are like that, 'cause Mopars rrely break down, it's all about finding out why it stopped in the 1st place.

Well while I had it down I did some updating. Pulled the heads and put in new bronze guides and stainless valves. Double roller chain should far out last that original plastic coated cam gear! Pulled the pan and emptied the pickup of all the plastic crap. Valve job really woke her up!!! Fries the BFG's at will now! Feels like a 100 hp improvement. Time to put her up for winter hibernation because we usually get our first snow by Thanksgiving here.

thats good news, there are still people out there that give a **** ! ..... HEMI-ITIS , those tires are rediculous !!!!!
