Working on all the windshield trim.... Even with everything Bagged and tagged, and a new screw kit, This is still a job, and most of the interior pieces will have to come off or loose to put the Fabric welting in around the doors....I've polished everything as best I could. Chrome pieces still have some pitting, But I just cant afford to Rechrome every piece.... I have to pick my Battles....

Trying to work every night on her I can, Got the last of the under dash wiring done I hope... Delete plate,Steering cover, Cig lighter wired,Ashtray Sun Visor, rear view mirror all back in...and I really appreciate all the thumbs up and stuff, But I'm always open to suggestions etc etc. Please, If you see something I can improve, or If I'm flat doing something wrong... Please speak up !!! My car isn't going to be a trailer queen, and will be a long way from perfect....I'm just doing the best I can with what I got !! Earl

Just seen your build, very nice, can see & hear your excitement! Very cool, that red is popping, congrats! Great car

What a fantastic outcome. Your friend is healing. And your car exceeded your wildest dreams.
Doug

You're doing a great job. I'd be proud to drive it, everything is looking good.

Tonights mission was to get the Dash Pad in… It’s not new, but new to me and MUCH better than what I had….. I decided not to pony up $600 for a new one at this point…A local fellow sold me this really nice one…Janice helped me to hold everything and line up the clips. We got it in, and didn’t add any cracks or scratch the dash !! Success !!

Took the car back to the Body shop. They put the final rub on the Paint, and we installed the side trim, and the Bumpers !! It's really looking like a car now !! I have the rest of the hood trim and trunk trim to install, then the interior and Top !! before any body says it... Yes I know I have a 63 fender emblem on my trunk... that's the one I Like, I also stripped the top moulding off the trunk, and painted the center Grill bars and side trim Charcoal grey.... The way I wanted it !!!!

I got all the trim back on the rear of the car last night.... I managed to put the clips on upside down on the trunk lip moulding the first time, and after double checking everything (I thought), I closed the trunk and they didn't line up with the corner trim..... I removed it, flipped the clips (Not easy), and reinstalled. these Barrell nuts are a PITA to get on there through the access holes.....If I never see another one, it will be too soon.... I also managed to flatten one spot of that trim literally by popping it with my hand tring to pop a screw through, It was late, I was tired, and I should have went to bed and finished today.... (My mistake). It was the last screw that needed a nut, and it wasnt going on because the trim screw was caught on the body edge and I was bumping it with my palm, and flattened out a spot, another spot is pulled a little. I guess 60 yr old trim thats been polished is getting thin.... I'll just have to decide whether I live with it, or repair or replace it...... Put on Pentastar, and front license plate. Once the last hood piece and eyebrows are polished, all the trim Will be on the (giant jigsaw puzzle) car…it was Nov 2020 when I took it off !!

Yup: It's unreal how much trim is on these cars. It takes a lot of time to get it all straight, find the correct clips and then finess it on. I remember spending days on my Polara.

what a beauty ! i'm in start of a resto on my 65 bel rag , but i'm in pursuit of some windshield trim that was missing when i purchase this ride . can anyone help me locate the parts i need . plus fasteners for all the trim as well . it is a basket case that i purchase from the widow of a mopar man . this car was purchased new by the family , and i'm the second owner and the first outside the family . it's a great car .

Hey Pomona Missell. Are the pieces in the pics, What you have or what you need ?? I have a couple pieces of extra trim since a member here gifted me some.... If they are something you need, I will pay it forward and gift some to you !! As far as trim Clips, You can get them From Joe Suchy. He is the best source for Parts for these cars !!!

@sixtiesmuscle , the parts shown are what i have , it's the top passenger side thats needed , but i need the fasteners for that trim and alot more . the gentleman started the resto , and passed away . then it sat for years , along with a few others that were in the same state of completion . so any thing that members can help me with this effort will be passed along if i can help anyone . and how do i get with joe suchy ?
