BURNOUTS, donuts and general showing off? Proper procedure??

Why would you say that?

Someone pissed in his Wheaties, and should probably **** on his head for good measure.

Next week me and my 70 Charger will be filming a commercial for the local dodge dealership. The script calls for burnouts and donuts. They're trying to sell tires. My concern is proper procedure without damaging anything or at least without damaging the transmission. Any advice is welcome. It's a recently restored 70 charger, 383/727/8 3/4. Very mild cam, edelbrock intake and avs2 carb, transgo shift kit, front and rear sway bars, qa1 arms, strut rods, shocks, 3.55, etc just to give an idea. Nice solid car. Finally dialed everything in(carb, kickdown, timing, alignment, etc)and runs strong. It just lacks that initial "punch" when you stab it from a stop.
Let's get back to my issue......... I do have disc all around with wilwood adjustable prop valve that has been turned down. I cannot burnout from a stop in drive and I'm afraid to start in a lower gear because of the horror stories. What do I need to do?
My 70 super bee mild build 383 4 barrel carb 727 auto 355 posi. I can turn the steering wheel right or left all the way put in 1st gear punch to the floor and it will start doing doughnuts. Once it gets going just feather the gas peddle to your liking. There will be plenty of smoke. It's just like your on snow or ice. No harm to drive train. I have L60/14 rear tires.. my friends just love it. No water or bleach needed. Good luck

Perhaps, as an alternate "fun" thing to do is: drain all the engine oil, start up the engine (not a motor, as motors use electricity) rev it up and wager the time to self destruct.......fun???.....no, Just stupid.....like doing burn outs.......just my opinion.....

I've actually saw someone do that. He was replacing the motor and figured why not. If you have the money to spend and is one of stories that when we get together and say remember when. Oh and it really wasn't that exciting.

For what they want there is no need for speed. You should be able to control the burnout by feathering the throttle (no need for super hi revving) and riding the brakes. Once they get smoking you can keep it going with the brake pedal. You're doing a side show!

It seems that I just can't seem to tune this thread in properly - there is an awful lot of static.

@HAHNAGON , personally, I'd really like to see what you did and how it is used in a commercial. Hopefully you'll be able to post it up here or at least post a link. And thanks for keeping us in the game and not succumbing to the jackassery.

Let's try and get this one back on track (yes I know I'm no Saint here)
