Does anyone know if the cat fluid damper will work with stock pulleys on a BB 440 ?

Not sure but they have some great products I have their h beams in my motor along with their roller rockers. Haven't started the engine yet due to waiting for my rear wheels. But all in all good stuff.

With the proper shims/spacing they will probably work OK, most all the aftermarket Harmonic Balancers/Dampeners you need to either, shim the pulleys or shim/adjust the accessories to, match the pulleys offsets, pretty common on these Mopar engine builds, nothing just bolts up like stock "usually", because of different thicknesses of the Aftermarket dampeners from the stock one, if you going for performance applications maybe go to, March Industries, get some aluminum pulleys, they can free up some HP, keep the belts on better at higher RPM's, plus lighter &/or smaller diameter, plus they look allot better also...

Budnicks, I appreciate the input but the question was specific.
will that damper work with stock pulleys- yes or no?
Thanks anyway but I now know the answer, its yes.
I purchased the damper and other than it is a VERY tight fit on the crank it lines up fine with stock pulleys.
By the way, in my opinion upgrading the damper does not justify the cost of aftermarket pulleys on a street car, unless of course that is whats desired, not a necessity.

Sorry I didn't know for sure "yes or no" on that specific damperner... Good to see it worked out for you, your luckier than I am usually... Remember your posting the question in the Racers Hang Out, I was merely suggesting the different/lighter March Industries aluminum pulleys, because some extra power can be made by using them, because of less reciprocating weight/mass or reduced diameter/less drag on the crankshaft or spinning accessories, not that they make a bunch more power maybe 7-12hp maybe, or that they need to be used, just an option, that looks better too boot... Cost effective, "maybe not on a street car", that is up to the individual builder, personally I like to use them on "all my performance engine builds", street/strip or race cars, not the 100% OEM restorations, remember when building a performance engine, IMHO you will ultimately pay about around $10-$15 per/hp on average for a decent 500hp build up, more when trying to make big power, it's not a bad investment in the scheme of things, there are people that will spend thousands, to get just a few or 7-12 more HP, at a certain level... BUT Opinions will vary vastly, I was just giving one of mine.... Good luck & Happy Moparing... Have Fun
