C H E A P People that you know...what are your stories of that person you knew that went overboard with their habits?

Did I mention buddies borrowing tools? Guys that were making more money than me were doing this and not bringing them back and if they did, there was usually something wrong with it. That stopped when I started making them initial a 'checkout sheet' lol. One guy asked, "you don't trust your friends"? Told him that real friends brought the tools back and in good shape. One guy that borrowed my floor jack and dumped on the street while doing 45 mph lied to me about it. It was all banged up and leaking and didn't even sit on all 4 wheels anymore. Told him where he could go that day.

I have a whole tub of light bulbs that I save from parting out cars. I use them all the time when a bulb goes out. Seems the new bulbs have a metal base to them that does not ground well, and the old brass ones never fail to ground. I see no problem with this.

I also save every headlight, and use those as well. Fan belts, radiator hoses, water pumps, if they look to be in good condition, I save em to use. I have at least 3 brand new water pumps that I removed from cars that obviously had work done on them that never got finished, and I get lots of good parts that way. I have just recently been recycling the dozens of old Mopar starters I saved because the new rebuilt ones are junk, alternators too. I take them up to the auto parts store and have them checked, if they’re good, they go in the good box. I see nothing wrong with any of this!
