C/L 64 Sport Fury

Go get it!!!

Hell yea! Not bad numbers at all. Offer 5k cash in person and see what he does. It's worth 6.5 if it's rust free as it looks in the pics. Check the cowling for rust and the outside of the rear windshield.

Personally I LOVE that car...
Great price but I'd offer him less...
But yeah, it is a great car and I honestly think "these" cars have a great deal more to go in "appreciation" wise...
PS: there were not that many Sport Furys..OR, let me put it this way:
Not many Sport Furys left
GREAT COLOR options too..

Yea the guy has a another all original 64, Same color and everything that he drives around. They are Gorgeous cars. I wouldnt mind painting it Petty Blue lol.

But i was uncertain about the price, Needed some advice.

I went and looked at the car he will not budge off of 65
I offered $5K and he point blank said NO, $6500.

Floors were re done the rear quarters were done years ago and the body guy kind of put flares on them , they will need re done. Look close at the left rear picture.
Door panels have holes in them from after market speakers.
Engine is completely apart needs rebuilt.
It has already had a repaint, fair seats needs sill moldings & inner floor carpet hold downs. Tires shot and miss matched wheels .
He said he is tired of tire kickers, been for sale for a while before C/L.
@ $5K not a bad car @ $6500?????????????

yea the engine didnt interest me. I just wanted the body But 6500 was to much for that. And i didnt want to spend all my money on a roller. He has been trying to sell it for awhile now. He had a Duster i bought off of him, Came with a 77 Roadrunner parts car.

Yea, $6500 seem a little high, not way off but I guess it depends on how bad you want it. Looks like a good project.

After owning one for 20 years, my best opinion is make damned sure it has all the trim. It's very expensive, and hard to find .the tail lights are re popped. I think they are $600 now. I think they are a much better built car than my 69 340 Dart. The cowl does rust out at the driver's side. It also rusts under the cowl, where the wipers mount. It's not a great price, so you have to decide if it's for you.

If ya don't buy it at 6500, somebody else will and then you'll be saying the "woulda, coulda, shoulda's"!!

From the way he talked he has had a lot of tire kickers, as he calls them.
So I would conclude the car is not worth $6500. He did tell me he just sold two cars, he didn't tell me one was a doner car just a RR.
When I have a car for sale. I have the car out and uncovered and everything that goes with it is in plain site. I called him before I left and 10 minutes before I got there.
He had stuff everywhere I had to move the seats that were stacked against the back of the car just to see them and the tail lights and bumper, the inside was full of stuff that you couldn't even see what was there. Just look at the pictures.
He said there are parts for it up in the loft in the shed out back etc etc.
I'll be selling my 63 SF convertible soon and it will be staged so anybody that comes to see it will not have to move a thing.
