I got my 727 back from Pat Blais but wasn't 100% sure on the the shift cable adjustment. Currently I'm getting forward gears in N and R. It's a console shift '65 Satellite. I know that the wheel on the housing adjusts the shift points but wasn't sure on the correct procedure.

If you're in doubt about the adjustment, remove the NSS and look in the hole. The contact should be in the center of the hole in P and N.

great oldie but goodie tip
forgot that one
time for a service on the Dakota- I'm going to check that one as my shift bushings are worn out and no longer available so I have to fab some

Alright, so I adjusted it up and what do you know? I have N and R. I'm finding that I'm getting a bit of a shift flash (that's the best way I can think to describe it) on my 1-2 shift. I suppose this could also be a band adjustment issue.
