Hey folks,

Anyone out here in Cali (closer to the Bay Area the better) who can point me towards a good way to meet other Mopar fanatics? Clubs, get togethers, Car shows, that sort of thing? As much as I enjoy cruising my Charger solo on US 101 and CA 1, I'd be happy to meet those who appreciate the awesomeness of these fine automobiles.

Hope to run into some of you soon... thanks and happy new year!

hey buddy, be carefull what you wish for. some of them in cali are real fanatical.:icon_weed:

Where in Northern California are you? Coast, inland, Bay Area, Sacramento??
How far are you willing to drive for say a monthly car club meeting??
We have a fairly active Mopar only club in Sacramento. In fact, our monthly meeting is tonite at 7pm at the California Auto Museum in Old Sacramento.

Darius I am down here in Vacaville however I shy away from most organized MOPAR associations because they want too much time and I am just not able to do that. Still trying to finish up my project as well. Capitol city Mopars is an OK organization but they lost my support a number of years ago with how they treated Stu of Mid Peninsula Mopars at one of their shows. And they require members to make a certain amount of meetings and events per their by laws when I just wasn't able to do it...Activated and deployed. Better off being a GDI than a joiner in my book....

Hey Shag, I resemble that remark, lol!

Sounds like you might be near the peninsula or San Jo. If you ever get out to the delta area..Antioch/Brentwood/Discovery Bay let me know we can meet up and cruise.

I'm familiar with just about every old MoPar nut in the Bay Area particularly in the Concord area. During the car season there is a parking lot show (for all makes) near DVC on Fri evenings but I never go because its nearly an hour away from my work when you factor in the traffic. A buddy of mine suggested starting a breakfast gathering on Sat (when there is little to no traffic) but we need to pick a good location that has plenty of parking. Perhaps Walnut Creek or Lafayette? Danville? What is your location? For the last three years I have put on a car show at my shop in San Ramon in Aug. and it's usually a big draw for all makes. I am not a member of any club and prefer to keep it that way (no disrespect to club folks).

Hey cr8crshr I live in Vacaville also but my car is yet to see the road. I live right off Vaca Valley. I hope to have the car on the road in the next couple of months and start working out all of the bugs. I have a 68 Superbee and the last time it was on the road was 1996 for a few months but this time I hope it will stay on the road for a few years until a complete tear down. A good drive with a few other mopars around would be cool. Jim

Me I am over in Leisure Town. My 66 Sat is over at my brothers place also in Vacaville. I have to pull the motor again due to the engine builder...long story there but stay away from CA Street Machines...and replace the rods and crank. Chebby rods don't work in Mopar 383's and when the crank balance journals are ground down to accommodate the shorter rods, it kinda messes things up. So I will tear it down and then fix it. Fortunately the motor hasn't been run yet so it will go rather smoothly. I have to get the crank checked and the pistons on correct rods...got both...and then button it up. fire it up and get it running. I have been at this project since 2005 and it's about time I finish it Stay in touch via PM's. I could use an extra set of hands and likewise I would do the same if you need a hand. Retired is nice too....cr8crshr/Tuck :blob1::blob1::blob1::blob1::blob1::yes::yes::yes::yes:
