I think I saw a post a while ago on these springs but could not find it. What is the general consensus about these springs on street/strip applications? Looking at spring possibilities for my 66' Satellite. I appreciate your input on this subject in advance.

I ran the whole set-up, shocks, mono springs & bars from Calvert/CalTracs for 6+ years, street & strip on my old 68 RR, I didn't do a ton of long trips or lots of commute driving, I had no issues at all ever... I plan on doing the same thing on my current 68 RR HT, when I get some extra cash...

Might be your lucky day. I have been watching these on ebay. I am probably not ready to buy but maybe someone can get a deal.

You could probably go to Calvert's site and look up the part numbers. I have a pair of used ones that were on an E body that I may turn loose of. They weren't on the car very long when the guy decided to go with ladder bars instead. He sold the bars to someone that already had springs and I stuck these up in the rafters. They are for 3300-3600 lbs B or E body..

What do you want to get out of them?

Are these a 1970 B-Body Fitment? She doesn't say on the add

The add says 68 Coronet. I called Calvert racing gave them the numbers and
found out they are an inch to an inch and half lower ride height than stock. Calvert said they would fit my 66 Sat. I am pretty sure that these springs will work on 66-70 b-bodies.

What kind of money, Cranky?

Heck, make me an offer......

I run them on my Coronet. They are a little choppy on the street unless you back off of the preload on the bars.

yep

:iamwithstupid: back of the pre-load slightly they won't clunk so much, if you put a piece of rubber hose above the pivot bushing to keep the clunking noise down some on the street, just remove it & readjust the pre-load for track use...

I just soften the shock adjustment for the street:blob1:
