I just wanted to update the post I started and show the result.
I did end up finding the exact scoop I was looking for on ebay. Yes, it is an original 79-82 Mustang part. I am only using it temporarily until I can find a good Air Grabber set-up so to the purists: Don't get too wound up about using a Ford part on a Mopar. It's just a little non functional hood scoop.
For any of the rest of you guys with a plain jane Satellite hood who would want to do something different but don't want a RR hood with the call-outs or can't afford an Air Grabber just yet, this could be a good option for you. I was all in on this for well under $100.
The scoop is well made. Sturdy fiberglass construction. There are a lot of them out there. It has 5 mounting bolts. In my case, the old bolts were worn so I removed them, widened the holes, installed new mounting bolts, and used fiberglass resin to seal the new mounting bolts in place on the underside of the scoop. I measured it out to center it up and drilled the 5 holes (1/4") into my stock hood. Some washers on the underside and lock nuts and bolted in place it is mounted solid and sturdy. Easy as pie.
I know some guys aren't going to like it and that's fine but I've had quite a few people asking me about this scoop so I just wanted to share it for them.
