I'm planning the r&r of my new fuel tank for the 77 Cordoba. There are 4 vent tubes on the new tank. I'm not sure if the vent tubes on my old tank are capped but I do know all the pollution control has been removed for many years and nothing is original. I don't see any lines running up to the area that the old vent lines are either.

Can the new vent lines be capped and what issues will happen? I can make sure my gas cap is vented.

You just need to have some kind of vent. Whether you have a canister or vent to atmosphere is up to you. More important is having the tank vented so it does not create a vacuum when temps drop and the gas cools off. Your tank will implode
