Don's correct. Definitely a 318A Poly. These engines will run forever if properly maintained. If you want to know more go to Polyspherical AKA Poly 318 on Facebook. There are also a couple POLY owners here, like myself.Looks like a 318 polyshere A engine.
Apparently the upper radiator hose didn't make it run any better.
Agreed. But I’ve not seen the heater hoses on that side of the engine. Looks like your heater core goes in on the left. Interesting.Easy stroked and poked to a 390 CID Makes 'um scream.View attachment 1161136
Or keep it and re-build. Great reliable engines, although I may be biased...dump it, bolt in a 440...& proper trans & rear......(drive train !,2 3rd member)
it will work in that setup ( need the right oil pan)...done

I’m with you. Didn’t cost that much more to build my Poly. AND I like hearing, ‘what is that?’ Even from some MOPAR guys. Bore it .040, drop in a 4” crank and it will give any 440 all it can handle.Or keep it and re-build. Great reliable engines, although I may be biased...
