X2, all my best to you and your wife Steve...I lost my dad 2 years ago to this terrible disease.

I pray your wife will live on for many healthy years!

Thank you for the kind words and thoughts and prayers. Today was day number three of chemo and she was really sick. yesterday they took out the catheter and she could not urinate. She was in extreme pain and i was a wreck pacing the floors till they finally got the tube back in later in the day. When i left today what i saw made me come close to breaking down. I was getting the car out of the parking garage and i heard someone crying. There was this young woman maybe in her early twenties. This guy was holding her and she was just totally distraught. She was crying and i heard her say i can't believe this day came. Daddy daddy i miss him. Well you get the picture and i felt so bad. Better days are ahead
 
Honestly, Steve; I don't know what lies ahead. All I can say is that I truly hope that everything works out for the best. I've been through this, It's going to be rough at times, but know that no matter what, we here are behind you all the way.
 
She will be ok. Chemo will be over just before the holidays and she can recover all winter. In the spring im taking her to Aruba. I need to slow down and do more stuff with her. She does not want me up her *** but i need to be more available. That girl crying for her father,that was heartbreaking.
 
My prayers for you both hers for healing yours for strength. You have the right attitude just keep believing have faith and just trust in HIM. Gods blessings on your family .
 
Hang in there, Steve. Sounds like you've had some encouraging news. 22 years ago my wife spent the summer going through chemo. It was a grind, but you have to do what you have to do. She would spend a week in Madison for treatment, then I'd bring her home for 2 weeks, then repeat and on and on. Our daughter was 3 months old then. I do think my wife's positive outlook and having our baby in our lives contributed to her recovery. All the best and prayers to you and your wife.

Steve be tuff and fight like a cornered dog. The rules of this disease have changed. I fought this battle 12 years go and was a stage 4. I can tell you the Chemo is not easy for sure. It causes all kinds of side effects. But it starts then it ends. That is the way you must look at it. Hug her tell her what ever it takes to fight. Winning is the only game in town. Thank God it happened here and not in another country with poor medicine. I know this is no consolation prize but god only throws things at us we can handle! If your wife needs a friend call me you have my number.

-----------------------------------------I will tell her. And im going to tell you that i believe you will beat this and at some point in the not to distant future we will take a ride up to Ottawa and enjoy a meal together. hang in there

Steve...I knew the Wife was having a tough time but I didn't know of the recent changes. Hope all is progressing and that she will be out of the woods so to speak after the Chemo. My prayers to you both...cr8crshr/Tuck
