I'm curious as to what brand filters some of you run, I have used K&N HP-3001 & FL1-HP.
I'm also curious as to whether the Fram HP has the bad reputation that their std filters had. I have heard that the Wix HP is a good filter.
I also wonder if there's actually that much difference in any of the HP filters, other than relief valve psi.

Baldwin. They filter more microns and have better (not carboard) internals.

I use a remote mounted, with dual K&N 3001
have for a really long time too, on a couple of different cars/combos
never/ever had any types of failure, due to oil contaminants either...

I have'nt run one in the past, but I'm looking really hard at the System1 stainless Steel 45 micron filter. For around $200.00, I really like the idea of taking
the filter off and seeing what (if anything) is stuck to the outside of the screen. I believe that 45 microns equals around 0.0031 dia. The filters also flow 30 GPM
which is alot better than any paper filters. I donnow, I'm looking!

If I didn't have about 65 Wix filters left in my stash, that's what I'd buy too System 1

I was on System 1's site and they have an interesting video on the Mopar Big Block oil pump test. The guy explains that over a certain RPM, air is introduced into the oil stream.
Very interesting!

I have been running FRAM HP1, or the shorter HP3 for since the early 70's on anything "performance" I own....
no problems at all...and yes...I still run regular Fram filters on my other cars!
