Can't Believe No One Tried to Answer My Question

I posed a question last week about using a 5.0KD lever in a 904 Torqueflight. Not 1 response, guess I will have to find it on my own???

I don't know.... I would find a 904 KD lever, and use it...

I'm not a trans guy & I dont know what your orginal question was. All I can share is that I have the 5.0 lever in my 904 (1969 version) Its a drag only car. I ordered my tranny parts from Mancini Racing & they guy there told me the 5.0 was better for my application. With the Cheeta full forward manual VB. If you have a street car then I would assume the 4.0 would be best. Hope that helped. Yes it works well in my application.
 
All I own are 4-speeds also.

If you do use it think about using a thicker strut strap, that 5.0 lever has a lot more leverage and I've seen the strut bend.

I dont care for the 5.0 and on my street/strip car I use the 4.2 and it shifts great. Alot of people say the 5.0 is not really needed and will really bang on the shift. All I can tell you is I like the 4.2 and most of everyone I know does not use the 5.0. Ron

Yes it can bang out the shifts. I have one installed in my 77 Doba 400/727 w/ a B&M shift kit. Driving it on the street is not bad, at least in a heavy car it's not bad.

A stock 904 with a 4 or 5 clutch high drum will take a fair amount of power when coupled with a good valve body. Sometimes the converter will crack at pump drive. There is a cure for that as well.

Thanks... The car will mostly be driven on weekends, street and hwy. driven. And there have been no previous mods to the trans.
