Anyone ship a car before? Looking at buying something, but will not be there in person to hand over cash without a plane ride. How do you pay the person? Make sure it gets on the trailer?

I would be careful ,try and find someone to look at it. I bought my Bee in NY and had 2 friends look at it. I sent certified bank check but once again my friend was their. Had it shipped but was not happy because the guy took his time,more time that was needed extra 2 days. If your spending big money buy a ticket Good luck.
I did not know this,even if you dont get a loan?
It’s like escrow, they are a 3rd party. Once the seller shows the car has been shipped, the bank releases the funds to the seller and the bank then sends the buyer the title.

That, my friend, is the adventure. Driving it back, and dealing with what breaks along the way. I believe if you drive gently at the speed limit, such miles are easier on a car than city driving. Aside from delays, it's all a fun part of life. Keep us posted on this.

Wire transfer then seller overnights notarized title to buyer.
Not aware of the bank holding title thing. Never heard that before.
But no way am Im handing my notarized title to a bank person and not getting money handed back to me.
If I have to wait until its shipped before paid ???? Not gonna happen.

Pardon me, may we go to step one ? Have your eyes, or someone you trust, physically inspected the vehicle ? Unless you're willing to regard the money as lost if it turns into a piece of junk.

The Op asked for shipping info,,,,,My last car purchased in April was shipped by Bridgeway Logistics. The car was picked up and delivered in 4 days, 623 miles. The price was very reasonable and I paid them cash upon delivery. Call David Miller at 346-347-6313

Did it just once, and used flea bay just to have their vehicle protection plan. It's supposed to cover losses from a vehicle that's never received, or the title has issues.

I read this as the OP looking for a someone to haul a car he has purchased …to his home. I have always gone through a shipping broker . Never a problem. you pay them for the delivery when they show up with the car.

No apologies if I haven't made it clear. I'm looking at purchasing one. Finding a hauler is easy enough. Question is mostly how do I make sure other guy gets paid and I get my car and title with neither being stiffed

Just to follow up on all this. I used Montway to ship the car. Money went through a 3rd party escrow. When the hauler confirmed they had the car loaded I told escrow to release the cash. Worked great and I had the car on my doorstep 2 days later.
So......tell us what you bought......pictures........?
