Looking for a ballpark weight of my Hemi RR. Switching from a 4-speed to automatic. Street car. Tubbed, not back haved. Dana 60, ladder bar coilover. Tubular front suspension coilover, manual rack and pinion. Roll cage, 2 factory buckets. Drag star wheels. Aluminum radiator. The trans people are asking questions for trans and conver. Am I in the ballpark saying 3,700? Automatics are new to me, maybe it doesn't matter on the street. I have never weighted the car, haven't even driven it yet. 3-3500 stall?

That sounds about right, to me. My a12 stock ( 440, 727, 60) was 3700. You have some lightening done, some weight added.
If you missed, I'd bet on the low side. Maybe 3800 (iron or aluminum hemi heads?)

And I'd run a TIGHT 9" converter, and let the stall fall where it may.

Don't guess, get it weighed if they need the info.
Depending on where you live you can go to a grain & feed store or truck scales.
Get axle weight and total weight.
Performance is a science, not an opinion or guess.
Give the convertor people all the info you can.
Actual stall speed can change with the same convertor depending on other factors.

Unless the car has autopilot, don't forget to add driver weight

As said above, don't guess, they have specific reasons they are asking you for that info. I weighed mine at one of the truck stops here in town, easy enough to do. And then add your weight to it.

I guessed the weight of my camper van. 5,500 tops I thought.
Went to three weigh stations to confirm it is 6,600.
I would get it weighed. Easy with my bikes. I use a regular bathroom scale.

So many changes to the specs so get it on a scale. No good guessing. Converters are specialized for the car today. Good point above add on your weight with helmet and gear.

So, If I add my weight to the weight of my 68 GTX I'm over 4,000LBS? Dang!
I knew I shoulda went with aluminum heads!!!

My 69 Hemi RR with Auto, Dana 60 with the bucket seat option weighted 3980 with a 1/4 tank of fuel without me.

Different body style, but my 70' Hemi Challenger. All steel, all glass, full interior with a 25.5 cage, mega block, tunnel ram with two 1050 Dominators, full tank of fuel, 2 full bottles, with me in it with fire suit, helmet, gloves, shoes etc is 3760.

When I first got my 66 Belvedere 2dr sedan with a /6 and factory AC, I figured it was about 3500 but it was 3370. After doing some weight reduction, it was 2950 with the factory AC still on it! :D

Unfortunately, the engine is not together. It does have aluminum heads. Be difficult to just throw everything in the car! Maybe I should have them hold off on the converter. I could weigh it later with the engine in and more or less together except the converter and oil. Not that hard to pull the trans back and install the converter. This is a street car. I have a friend with a backhaved '69 RR, same car except 8 3/4" rear and RB wedge. Says his car weighs around 3450. I am thinking that is a little light. Okay, I will wait on the converter!
Thank you for helping make up my mind!

Oh, Coan is suggesting a 10" converter. Automatic is all new to me, I really don't know anything, other than suggestions . The only reason I am switching out my 4-speed is because of a shoulder injury, and because of my age, they do not care to do surgery.
