Carb Advice

Sometimes, I even impress myself with my drawing skills...

Thing is, you made it stupid simple. Anybody that didn't know a thing about Mopars would know where to put that sprAng. lol Nice work!

The throttle cable bracket may be from a 2 BBL car because I think there is a difference between 2 BBL and 4 BBL. You can do some "re-engineering" (i.e. cut and weld) to make it line up better.

I like the spring!

Found this picture of a 69 440 kickdown setup. Nice and straight. I see the missing spring. But the brakets look different. Are they all the same or different for years or carbs. It possibly could be a 2 barrel setup. No idea what was thrown together here, just trying to sort it out and make it run. Thanks for the drawings and info 69bee.

This is the late 60's style TP arrangement and not what the OP has.

This is a setup for a 69 three piece kickdown rod. Yours looks to be a one piece kickdown rod, so it is a little different.

Ok an update on the carb situation. I took the carb and kit to a local expert (40 plus years with carbs). He gave me a quick lesson and back ground on the the carb. Said I need to get a chock thermostat. So my question to you guys is which one?

I did some checking and seen that there are more than one . I seen these on the yearone website:https://www.yearone.com/Catalog/Show?bid=24&sid=131&ssid=171&pgid=15671
I know that the second one is adjustable and the third one isn't. The car is a 72, but the carb is a 69. Lol, wtf should i get? I seem to run into snag after snag. I can post the intake manifold casting number if that helps. And still trying to find out if theres something up with my kickdown or if i need to go with a three piece (earlier style) or if the one piece will even work with this carb. Anyone anyone? lol

3512501 is the intake casting number, looks to be a 71 440 intake.
