Hi guys,
just trying to decide on which way to go,
my 440 out of my 68 charger is currently at the machine shop getting work done as i have purchased the Muscle Motors 512ci stroker kit.
i currently have ported 84cc stealth heads 1:5 ratio roler rockers
lunati 60303 cam.

But i am not sure on a carbie setup i want it to be very streetable, reliable, easy to tune but look sweet.

the options i have come up with and what M/M have recommended is
either edelbrock rpm intake or torker 2 with a 850cfm for street or 950+ for racing.
or eddy ch28 dual edelbrock performer 500cfm for street or 600cfm for racing

but i a not sure on which brand carbie either as i want an easilt tuneable one.

anyone have any feedback on this issues?

thanks

multi-carb, :blob1:

I would definitely go with a Holley Street Dominator and a 850cfm
That intake is a SP and would be really good for your setup. Makes more power than the Eddy performer RPM

X2--i am running a single 850 holley on my hemi and really like it. as long as it keeps operating as well as it is i won't consider putting the 2x4 set up on.

.02 cents:headbang:

I run an 850 DP on my 493. I use Indy EZ heads so I run the Indy dual plane intake also. Has great driveability and runs 10's. Ron

performer intke with a proform 950 is what I used on My 498 and it was just right...alot of bells and whistles on proform at a good price...I currently have a 750 on My smallblock Demon

Hey Benno, I'd have to vote for a six pack setup.....decent mileage running on the center carb (streetable), Holley carbs are easy to work on, you have the cool factor of a multi-carb setup + you have something like 930cfm-960cfm (4-barrel rating) when you put your foot down. IMO the six pack is the best of both worlds.

All very good answers and some things I going to consider when I build my 68 440 1/4bbl. Thanks guys.

wow I have a street dominator in the trunk of 72 charger I bought, should I be using that on the 318 thats in car, the one on the car is a stock one from a 81 318 from the casting numbers. Thanks

how many ponies are you shooting for at what compression. on another recent build i obtained 823hp/737tq on pump gas. 1150 cfm.. dyno proven

Thanks guys, nice pics, "440Runner" thats hot, hows it run? 6 pack setup is nice but very expensive, and it looks like a headache, i think i am going to go the dual quad edelbrock intake not sure to go 500 or 600's ive eard that eddy's 600's are a bit rich for this might try jetting the 500's if they dont have enough grunt???

shag766, is this directed at me? if so, i should be around 620hp with a tad more torque, but i dont think my car will ever see a strip. want a nice streetable car that has the looks and power to showup all the chumps in there fords and gm's

use the 600cfm carbs. the 500's are just 600's with a screwed up primary booster, and the 600's are cheaper.

Holly Street Dominator with a Carter 750 Competition Carb., yes..its a 383
