Carlisle and the FBBO tent - first time

We’ll be taking a camper down tomorrow afternoon. My wife and I with a couple of friends. The cars are staying home. Anticipate 4 1/2 to 5 hour drive barring any stops. Hope all you fellas are wearing name tags lol.
If you wear your CHEVY shirt they will know who you are Nick :poke:

No pics yet? You guys need to schedule a meet and greet for a particular time. It's fun!

I gotta get back there. I haven’t been since 2004. I really didn’t know anyone then that was there, and it would be kool to meet some of you guys. :)

Got back home to our place last night. An overwhelming but amazing experience. The threat of rain held off making it possible for all the cars to be looked at and enjoyed. All of you folks in the FBBO tent were a pleasure to meet. Please forgive me as I forgot A LOT of the screen names of you folks that I only met briefly. PLEASE CHIME IN HERE IF WE MET OVER THE WEEKEND. I'd appreciate it if you did.

A few folks that I got to spend some time chattin with(that I can recall atm - again forgive me if I forgot your name):
@68BabyBlue, @HawkRod, @Don Frelier, @Tinker67, @eldubb440, @Rebellion, (edit) AND @Nxcoupe AND @khryslerkid AND @VANDAN AND @JDmac72chrgr AND @5wndwcpe

And pictures? I didn't even know where to begin. There was so much to see. I felt like that's all I'd be doing if I started taking pics of all the cars. So....I did NOT do that. Maybe try to strategize that next time now that I have a feel for the magnitude and layout of this event.

I heard @chargervert was there, but left before I had a chance to catch up with him. I believe he won something raffled but was gone by the time his name got called.

And...over in the corner of the FBBO tent was a guy healing the sick, cleansing the lepers and helping the blind to see. So I thought "I got to meet this guy". He introduced himself as @eldubb440. I asked him to perform one miracle for me. I asked him to make @Richard Cranium appear. He said to me "son, I can do many great things but that is too great a miracle."

I was pretty disappointed and he could tell. So he gave me this to help cheer me up...
(Actually I won this in the FBBO tent raffle and Mark was gracious enough to sign it for me. Thanks Mark.)

he won the box of cereal.... I believe an executive decision was made.......he probably would have eaten it on the way home anyway (munchies? :D )

if he had won one of my car pieces, I'd have made sure it got to him somehow........ Pete @chargervert, it was great meeting you....... anyone who can construct a convertible charger and see it through is my kind of people.......and unlike Cranium, the pleasure was all mine ....... as was the case with everyone I met

Pffft, AMC crap. It would be impressive if it was a piece of sheetmetal with a super bee or a R/T logo on it.

:lol:

send me a pic when you hang it up....... asking me to make @Richard Cranium appear is akin to summoning the Devil

as the wife was reading through the Carlisle threads..... she said, "that Richard Cranium really is a dick head!; next year spritz him with a little Holy water".........

stay in character Dickie, we love you just the way you are
