Have a 1970 Roadrunner 4 speed. Carpet that was put in does not fit well, it bunches up in between the bucket seats. Thinking of just replacing it, anyone know of good molded carpet that looks like orginal? Or a way to fix it??

Thanks.

ACC makes a good carpet, if you replace it make sure you DON'T get the MASS backed carpet. It has a heavy rubber coating under the jute padding which makes it harder to install. The MASS backing is to reduce heat and noise but I found it to be a real PIA to install and I have done many, but never that kind again.
It could be that your carpet now was not a 4 speed carpet.
I leave them out in the sun for awhile to get them nice and soft before installing them.
Hope this helps.

I just installed my ACC carpet over the weekend and the backing is a pain. I put it in the sun to soften the back. It does gather at the back but some padding in the back can be cut away so it lays flatter. You WILL want a molded carpet. Hope this helps.
