I am istalling carpet now. I don't think it would be under the gas pedal bracket that bolts to the floor is it. Do I just cut a slit for that. I got the legndary carpet. Do they usually need trimmed under the dash? Also cut around the console bracktes just so they poke through? Pictures would be real helpful. Thanks.

If your gas pedal is like mine it mounts against the floor so once you have the carpet positioned you cut a rectangle out which allows the pedal to mount through the carpet. The carpet will run up the firewall a little and will need to be trimed once everything is glued down and is in place. As for the console brackets ..I would just cut enough to get them through the carpet, they can always be trimmed larger later if needed.
