I have a Carter 4024SA fuel pump on my 70 440 6 Pak. The pump doesn't have much time on it but the diaphragm started leaking and pumping fuel out the vent due to the alcohol. Is there anywhere I could buy a diaphragm for this pump and repair it? It's like new inside and out. It's just been on a show car for 30 years and I got it when you could just go to your Chrysler/Plymouth dealer and buy one. At any rate it's a fire hazard now and needs repair.

With all that said could you recommend a fuel pump to replace it? I don't race this car and it's not like it needs a 110 gallon per hour Holley.

Thanks for your help.

Lisa; Mancini should be able to help you. They list 2 kits: 1 for a 6 bolt diaphragm and 1 for an 8 bolt.

Thank you so much ColoradoDave. That's the ticket and I'll order that kit in the morning. I've got another pump coming to get the car running but I will certainly overhaul this one and keep it on the shelf. I have two of these fuel hungery cars and one had this 4024SA pump on it and the other had the chrome Holley. It doesn't hurt to keep one on the shelf ready to go.

Again Thank You so much for the information as I so appreciate the help!!

Regards,

Lisa :hello2:
