Hello Everyone.

Would anyone happen to know which Edelbrock carb has replaced the Carter AFB Competition series carburator? Is it the Performer or the Thunder AVS series?

thank you.

I think its the 1407 (?) series. I have a 660 cfm that I will be removing shortly and replacing it with a 750, both are the Carter Competition units.

It would be the Eddy AFB - the one with the velocity valves under the booster clusters. Since you say the thunder is an AVS then the performer must be the AFB.

Thanks Guys.

I called Edelbrock and they said the same thing. It is the Performer series (aka 140x).

Thanks to the both of you.
