I have a 68 Road Runner 383, and just changed out the Carter AVS carb. The choke was working fine before I changed out the carb, but now it comes on while driving. Everything else seems fine.
Any suggestions?

UPDATE: I tinkered a bit, and found that the choke was NOT the problem. The new carb throttle linkage was sticking in a slightly open position, which caused the rpm to run at 1500.
I dry lubed the throttle linkage, and it seems to have cured the problem.
