Carter fuel pump leaking. HELP!

Purchased a new Carter Super pump last year for my 440.Car ran great, then it sat for 8 months. I started it yesterday and the bottom gasket was pouring out gas. Someone told me the check valves can freeze up. Anyone familiar with this?

You need to remove the pump and remove the bowl and see why it's leaking.

Could be the crap gas clogged the check valve
