Kelly,
I can't quite make it out from the pic. I have a 67 Charger and I'm not sure what is broken there, everything is attached with screws is it not. Can you get a better/different pic?
You should be able to tack another on on, or just get a butterfly bolt and a short piece of all thread with some thread locker. Depending on how you want to do it. I will look at mine when I get home and see how they are attached for sure and I may be able to give you a better option.
Pot metal lid will be very difficult to impossible to fix. What is the application for your lid? I may have one, but other than that, a hole drilled from the top, and covered with new woodgrain decals could fix yours.
Remove the 2 square metal washers and take off the aluminum top plate. Be careful not to break the studs. now you can drill through and counter sink for a flat head screw. Bolt the latch pc back on then reattach the aluminum top plate. Good to go .

Thanks for the info. I was able to get the top plate off without breaking the studs. Next is to drill out and counter sink some screw holes and reassemble.
