I am converting my auto console to a 4 speed console. I got the new pieces I need now I need to cut the console to fit around the 4 speed hump. Can anyone post me a picture of that notch with some dimensions. Thanks

When I changed my '65 to a 4 speed, I just had to add the aftermarket bump out to the automatic console and then replace the carpetting, The bumpout bolted in place of the factory side plate. Absolutely no cutting on the console.

Thanks. I actually had to do quite a bit of cutting but I got it to fit!

1966 up is different and DOES require cutting the side of the console. It also requires a 4 speed console only piece of trim between the console body and the pooched out fiberboard for covering the shifter hump. This piece is also covered with carpet and the trim piece is the transition between the carpet and the console body. If you have that piece you can use it as a telltale as to how you cut out the side of the auto console.
