Just received a new supply of EL flat panels yesterday, and repaired an AC EL panel with one of them. You can cut the strips to fit most places we use EL on our first gen Chargers (shift indicator comes to mind), and our powerpacks light them up great. This one is for a friend of mine at Instrument Specialties.

Looks great! I could use one for my shift indicator. How do I get one?

Anyone used this on needles? I have three that are now dark

Can't use this technology on EL needles. I can repair or replace them if you are interested. Have rebuilt/restored over 170 66/67 Charger instrument clusters in the last 4 years...see my signature for more info...

Thanks Mark. I rebuilt mine also in 2008. I've since had three needles go dark. Well two only light up at the connection. I guess I'll just have to pull it and carefully experiment. I knew it was too good to be true when I had everything including the radio working

If only the bases light up the EL layer is cracked and those needles are toast. I have spares if you are interested, lots of spares, lol!

Hi Mark, yes I'd be interested in spare needles. I need the speedo, tech, and oil pressure needles. I have to ask also if you go by the same handle on the 66-67 charger forum?
